I have compiled a list of 100 songs that I find truly inspirational. There may be a few that are left out and if that is the case I will be sure to add them with time.
On some of the songs you will notice I have included a commentary as to what I like.
- A-Ha - Take on Me - This song is super catchy and has a great melody to it. The chorus is very nice as well, I really like the octave progression.
- Ace of Base - Beautiful Life - This song is just beautiful.

- Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata - Beethoven's best piece. Bold, stunning and close to perfect.

- Blind Guardian - Mirror Mirror
- Bon Jovi - Dry County
- Chicago - You're the Inspiration
- Chrono Cross - Another World
- Chrono Cross - Ending Theme - Most people probably haven't heard this song but it truly is so awesome. It starts out with a few classical guitar verses and then hits a beautiful outro with perfect vocals.

- Cradle of Filth - Nymphetamine Fix
- Cutting Crew - Died in Your Arms
- David Lanz - Christofori's Dream - This is one of the best solo piano songs written by a current day pianist. This song is incredible.
- Death - A Moment of Clarity - This song has probably my favorite metal solo ever. It has 4 different parts and is over 2 minutes in length. I love this band!

- Dimmu Borgir - Mourning Palace - Heavy and melodic, just the way I like it!

- DJ Tiesto - Forever Today - Very moving. This song sounds a bit like the theme from Terminator 2. It's obviously not a rip, but does have that kind of feel. The whole presentation and atmosphere of this song is done so well. It has so many fresh and new parts and just builds a complete story.
- Dr. Dre - Forgot About Dre - Love it! Very great melody and just put together extremely well.

- Eminem - Stan - A great song that contains a lot of different things going on. I love the way the story of the lyrics and the song come together. Very well done.

- Goldfinger - Mable

- Hammerfall - Always Will Be - Very nice slow guitar song.
- Iron Maiden - Hallowed by thy Name
- Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills
- James Horner - My Heart Will Go On (Titanic Theme) - One of the greatest songs of all time to hit the film world.
- James Newton Howard - The Healing - I love this song. It just starts out nice and easy and builds up to such a great mood.
- Joe Satriani - What Breaks a Heart - Some of the best solo guitar work I've ever heard.
- John Williams - E.T. Theme - This guy is a genius - the best composer to ever score film in my opinion. His songs all create such a brandable and solid theme to each movie he scores.

- Metallica - Master of Puppets - One of the best metal songs ever created. It contains everything a metal song should and then some. The whole song is just a ride that puts together a great experience.
