When Being Good Isn't Enough

Most people are good by nature. Most animals, like dogs or cats, are even better. This is why people get upset when a dog or a cat is hurt. Even more plants are good and basically all minerals are good. What am I getting at? Less intelligent things are usually good. We live in a world that heavily champions being good, but rarely champions being good AND smart. While most people may be good, they are far from being smart. And once people do finally become smart, they lose their good.

Becoming an Attorney In The Game of Life

Everyone knows that the best attorneys are the ones who can argue either side of a topic favorably - the ones that have done their homework on both sides. These are the attorneys that have looked at all the facts and know all the arguments. They are effective because they are educated. The educated people always have an advantage when it comes to discussions regarding choices. These attorneys will come out and completely turn people to their side simply because they know both sides of the game.

A Lack of Creativity in our Modern Age

I think these days, perhaps more than usual, we suffer from a lack of creativity. Too many people go along to get along and never really use creative faculties.

Go to YouTube and search for some people playing music. Almost all of them will be people playing somebody else's music, not their own. Writing their own music is much too difficult.

Go to a concert and see all the people willing to go pay to watch a creative group of individuals perform so they don't have to become creative themselves.

The Different You's

You are not the same person you were a year ago, a week ago or even yesterday. People change on a daily basis and grow.

Being A Child Is Cool In This Society

These days it's cool to be a child. It's cool to be talked down to and watch cartoons in order to comprehend the most basic of things. What is with all these big companies treating us like toddlers? I mean seriously, how dumb are people? Some examples:

Seeing The Good And Bad in All Things

Something that I notice more and more is that people in general have a tendency towards grouping things as either all good or all bad. They will say a doctor is good and a criminal is bad. Or George Washington is good and Adolf Hitler is bad. Or this nation is good and that nation is bad. Or this religion is good and that religion is bad. Or even Jesus is good and Satan is bad. It goes on and on. People have a way of simplifying things and taking the whole rather than understanding all the different underlying dynamics and circumstances.

Illi University - No BS Education

Well, I've just about had enough with how incredibly stupid people are so I feel it is my duty to have to at least attempt to do something about it. That is why I am starting an online school. This isn't your typical school either.

Making A Stand - Doing What's Right

Throughout history the majority of people have been followers rather than leaders. As a result, there are more people less likely to make a stand than those that do make a stand. Making a stand is harder than not making a stand because it requires a set of values. And having a set of values is hard because it requires work.

There's No Such Thing as Black and White

We live in an age, and I suspect this doesn't just belong to our age, where everything is fast, easy and black and white. Our current reality is one of low research and shallow thinking. Most of what we know we have been told by somebody else and they too were told by somebody else. Our small little world is built upon a black and white view of reality, that things work these ways because science says so, that there is only 1 right way to do things and that anybody else who disagrees with "democracy" is practicing an inferior form of government.

Do What You Want To Do

This may sound a little backwards and out of line, however in most cases you should do what you want to do at the time.

You should have main goals and work towards those, but of those goals there are usually lots of smaller tasks that all add up to the whole. Of these smaller tasks you should do the ones you want to do at that time and work on other ones at a later time. Maybe you're in a more creative mood, do the creative task. Maybe you're not in a creative mood, do the rote task. Maybe you're burned out. Do tasks from another goal of yours.
