Science

Science IS a Religion AND a Belief System

Let me make this as "scientific" as possible.

According to Dictionary.com, religion is defined as:

1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.

The Flip Side: Why Have Nothing When The Nature Of Reality Is Everything?

People have asked the question, "Why have something when it is more simple to have nothing"? The interesting thing here is that this assumes that nothing really is the nature of our reality, that nothing is more common that something - or that nothing is the starting point and something is built upon nothing. BUT, the more I research reality the more it seems like something is much more prevalent than nothing. Furthermore, nothing is never really nothing but just different forms of something.

Skeptical of Skeptics? Me Too.

When did it become so freaking honorable to be skeptical? Skeptics think that somehow being a skeptic makes them more accurate and knowledgeable when it comes to scientific and intellectual discussions.

Skeptics usually have a God-complex where they feel that they are an above all authority over other people - as if they somehow hold the sacred keys to knowledge because they have not become perverted in "dirty" research waters.

Scientists Are The New Christians

I have recently observed that science is no longer the science it once was, just as Christianity is no longer the religion it once was. Science used to be objective, experimental and in pursuit of truth. These days it seems like it has its own biased objective just as Christianity does. The people in high up places have done a good job at removing God, ET, spiritual and logical evidence from science.

Evidence, Evidence, Evidence... How About Logic?

I kind of get the feeling that we have become too evidence oriented in this day and age. Don't get me wrong, I entirely support the scientific method and appreciate what it has done for humanity. I am all about testing things and finding evidence as support.

The Problem with Evidence

Question: If you remove all 5 senses from a person, are they still considered conscious?

I was recently reading some stuff about the brain and how it is our consciousness (which I disagree with), how without the brain we are no more. I see things a totally different way where the brain is actually a filter for infinite consciousness.

Anyhow, I was wondering what would happen if somebody could not see, hear, taste, smell or feel anything. Would their brain still work? Would they still be conscious?

Is The Universe Really Balanced?

You've probably heard it all the time and perhaps even thought about it. Whether everything in our universe is balanced. For every positive, there is a negative. I would have to agree with this for the most part but I still don't think it's a complete answer.

Most things in our universe have a negative, but do they really? The negative of white is black. The negative of happy is sad. And on and on.

The Speed of Information Increases (God must be really fast!)

It hit my while walking to the bathroom today reading content on my iPhone. I realized that we are getting more and more connected and content is getting to our consciousness faster and faster. We used to only share information verbally, then we moved onto printing, then we moved onto television, then the Internet and now mobile devices.

Since we are all on our way to merging/becoming Gods I think this shows that his consciousness is super fast. It seems the more conscious we become and the quicker we interpret information the more we become Gods.

Our Universe Is Biased

Don't you find it strange that eating healthy foods such as vegetables, fruits and others actually help you maintain a healthy body? Who said it had to be that way? Why couldn't ice cream, cake and these types of food be the healthier options?

Isn't it strange how running, swimming and other physical activities keep our body in shape? Why isn't it the other way around? Why doesn't sitting around doing nothing keep us healthy? Why is it a certain way?

Evolution Explains How, Not Why

I'm an advocate for evolution, it makes sense and I can certainly make logical connections with it. What I don't like is that evolution only explains how we got here, not why. Many evolutionists will say, why is a rather human question and unimportant. Fair point, but well, I'm a human and how is asking why any less important than asking how? People ask why all the time in daily life to help with growth - scientists/evolutionists probably do it more than anyone.
