The Closer You Are To God The Less Personality You Have

I was talking to a friend the other day and he brought up something that made me think about this. This is a pretty interesting and somewhat creepy statement, but I think it's fairly accurate: The closer we are to God the less personality we have. And conversely, the further we are from God the more personality we have.

Can God Make A Rock That Is Too Heavy For Himself To Lift?

I'm sure everybody has heard this question and many others like it. Like with most paradoxes, it seems as though it's not that we can't answer it that's the problem, it is the question itself.

Some Thoughts on Intelligence and The Mind

The mind is simply fascinating. It is the one thing that directs our thoughts, controls our decision making process, creates who we are and does so much more. But what is our mind? Is it just physical atoms mathematically fulfilling their purpose or is it more than that? I have by no means the answer to this but I would like to pose some thoughts I have on it.

If We Are Reincarnated, Why This Life at This Time?

It's kinda weird, why are we only conscious of this life that is happening right now? Why aren't we living in a past life or even a future life right this second? Or even stranger, are we living in multiple lives at the same time? It's just so weird.

We could totally be living at anytime, but this just so happens to be the one that we are conscious of. Did I have this same type of thought in my last life? Will I have it again in my next one?

The Difference Between an Atheist and Myself - Why A Businessman Sides With God

The more research I do about life, God and religion the more I come to the following conclusion about atheists and myself: I agree with pretty much everything atheists say except their conclusions. I would even go as far as saying that most atheists kind of have an "employee" type mentality. They are good at analyzing details and being machines, but bad at putting things together and grasping a whole concept (I'm down with being proven wrong here if I am - I wish there were stats to show the ratio of atheist employees/businessmen vs spiritual employees/businessman). I'm not just targeting atheists here either, I am targeting anyone who is an employee for reasons within their control.

The Holy Bible is Not the Only Holy Book and Doesn't Answer Everything About God

Let me first say that I do in fact study the Bible and agree with the teachings it presents. What I don't get, however, is why people won't look at anything outside of the Bible for guidance, knowledge and truth. I guess it has to do somewhat with being scared of having to be questioned on your beliefs and also not caring enough about what you believe to even research it and understand it. I find it strange how a compilation of various God inspired scriptures are magically picked to be the only 100% accurate representation of our life and our God. It just doesn't make sense to me. I could be wrong but let's think about this.

Why Hasn't God Answered The Prayers of Billions of People?

I found this type of thinking on another website: "If Jesus answers prayers as he promises in the Bible, then why haven't the prayers of billions of people to end world hunger caused Jesus to solve the problem of global poverty?"

This selfish type of thinking really gets old. The Bible also says be humble, do not put the Lord your God to the test and even if it didn't say anything, thought and studying could answer this one.

If God Created The Universe, Then Who Created God?

This is a popular question that usually arises when having some type of religious or philosophical discussion with people. There are a number of different ways people approach this question, but today I thought about an interesting perspective so I figured I would share it.

A Question For My Atheist Friends (Round 2)

Where is the evidence for fun, happiness and love?

Atheists do not believe in God because there is no evidence for God, according to them. My question would be, where is the evidence for fun, happiness and love? How do you quantify this, and how can it be scientifically represented with our current stage and understanding in science. If it can not be quantified, measured and tested under the scientific method with the same scrutiny and integrity as God then surely there is no place for it in our lives.

Did We Have a Choice of Where We Were Born?

I can't say with 100% certainty whether we did or not, but I can say that I do lean more towards the rationalization that we did have the choice of where we were born.

A lot of religious people may find this a bit odd as they will most likely claim it goes against the teachings of the Bible, but does it really? There are a number of places where the Bible talks about being born here on this earth and then being reborn in the next kingdom, but it doesn't really put a limit to this. It doesn't necessary say that we WERE NOT born before this world does it?
