A friend of mine originally posed this question to me and it has stuck with me ever since. Why have a universe at all when there could be nothing? Simply put, why have something when it is more simple to have nothing.

The very fact that we exist and have boundaries set forth by the universe is something that is fascinating. The idea that there is energy at all (according to our perspective) seems to imply that something is going on in the cosmos that makes sense and/or fits together. There is some sort of completeness and perfection that exists within the universe. I don't think we will ever know completely what this may be as humans, however we continue to get closer and closer. We have the ability to think and interpret energy when a more simple approach would be to have no energy to interpret, and no consciousness to interpret at all.

I'm just happy to be a part of it all :).

Ben: hmm..

Your friend sounds really smart, I wouldn't be surprised if he changed the world (greys are you listening?).

Android L7: We are watching you

This is Android L7 talking from Planet X2. We have been following you for quite some time. We have tried to contact you physically but the primitive human race keeps attacking our space ships and covering it up. Until mankind has risen to a higher level of civilization we will continue to reach you telepathically or in secret.
